Eu-Rural Tourism

This project, launched in September 2022, aims to help micro and nano SMEs in the tourism sector through the structure of a Eurocluster – ERT. Traditionally based on local or regional demand, this sector has now the opportunity to extend markets by working together on a transnational base in the Eurocluster Rural Tourism – ERT. Building on the longstanding work and experience of partners like Ruraltour and Euroacademy in the field of transnational networking, information exchange, training etc. the ERT combines the concept of professional organizations with the wider understanding of the cluster concept. It provides thus a unique opportunity to upscale activities and, at the same time, create a critical mass of European rural tourism services in 15+ countries that are supported under this form of collaboration with a vision of internationalization.

Call for Tourism SMEs - OPEN NOW until 10th-September!

The EuroCluster Rural Tourism is looking for Micro- and Nano SMEs that are in the tourism sector and are based in any EU member state or third country participating in the COSME programme and are interested in improving digital, eco-sustainability, and soft/social skills.

The objective is to assist them in designing and developing new tourism products for international markets, incorporating digital, sustainable, and socio-cultural improvements.

Only SMEs from the following countries or regions can apply:

Belgium-Wallonie, Bosnia-Herzegóvina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Romania-Harghita, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain-Aragón, Cataluña, La Rioja, Navarra

CLOSED! Call for Assistance Service Providers

The EuroCluster Rural Tourism, is looking for qualified consultants (individual experts, companies or other organisations, informal consortia) based in any EU member state or third country participating in the COSME programme, to provide technical assistance to rural SMEs. In this project, EURACADEMY together with 5 European partners, will have the objective of favouring companies in the sector with activities of: knowledge promotion, market enlargement, lengthening tourist seasons and offering better services, while developing environmentally friendly tourism in the area, offering innovative and attractive tourist products, favouring environmental protection and job growth.

The consultants will offer a full technical assistance pack to enable the 190 rural tourism SMEs participating in the project to design and develop new tourism products for international markets by integrating digital, green/sustainable and socio-cultural improvements in their business.
The consultants will be paid by the rural tourism SMEs which will be selected to be the beneficiaries of the project. The selected SMEs will be entitled to receive a voucher valued indicatively at an average of EUROS 5,000, to meet the cost of professional assistance.
